— Reiterates His Administration’s Commitment To Sustaining Peace And Security In Emohua LGA
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining the already existing peace and security in the area, stressing that his administration was able to embark on critical infrastructural projects within few months in office because of the existence of peace and security in the area.
He noted the contributions of the different security agencies and special security units, especially the Rumuji divisional police headquarters to the security of lives and properties in the local government area, reassuring security agencies of his administration’s commitment to the provision of logistic support for effective policing and crime fighting across the local government area.
Dr Lloyd made the assertion during the presentation of an armoured personnel carrier (APC) and patrol vehicles donated to the Rumuji divisional police headquarters in Rumuji town, Emohua LGA on Wednesday.
The council chairman called for a stronger synergy between the security agencies, the local government vigilante services and relevant community stakeholders in the local government area, emphasizing that the security of lives and properties is a collective responsibility.
Represented by his senior special adviser, Chief James Nnanna, the council chairman said his administration will continue to partner with the security agencies and relevant stakeholders to sustain peace and security across the local government area, promising to extend the provision of patrol vehicles to other security units in the area.
He thanked the governor of Rivers State, HE Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his consistent provision of logistics support to security agencies, as well as the state security architecture ‘ Operation Sting’ which has continued yielding positive result across the state.
Receiving the donations from Emohua local government chairman on behalf of the divisional police officer (DPO), the divisional crime officer (DCO) of Rumuji divisional police headquarters, SP Friday, commended Dr Chidi Lloyd for his numerous support to the police force and other security agencies, describing the donation of an APC and patrol vehicles from the local government as first of its kind in the division.
SP Friday said the officers of Nigeria police force were still in the euphoria of the fencing and gatehouse project being executed by the council chairman at the Rumuji divisional police headquarters, only to be presented with APC and patrol vehicles from the same council chairman.
He said the division was going to utilize and reciprocate the support from the local government council by improving on the achievements of the council chairman in the area of security of lives and properties across Emohua local government area.
